The Rifles Berkshire & Wiltshire Museum at The Wardrobe in Salisbury Cathedral Close will host a short Act of Remembrance to mark the 50th anniversary (28 Oct) of the bombing of the Sandes Home at Abercorn Barracks, Ballykinler and the ambush in Crossmaglen (6 Nov) by the Provisional IRA,  both of which resulted in the deaths of 2 soldiers serving with 1 DERR as well as a number of soldiers and civilians wounded.

Those attending should arrive by 10:30 hours and the Act of Remembrance will be followed by a light sandwich lunch.

The event will conclude at 13:00 hours.
